A Little Recap: My Time at the RDS Horse Show Art Hall

Last August, I had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting my work at the RDS Dublin Horse Show – specifically in the Art Hall – and honestly, it was such a brilliant experience, I’ve been meaning to sit down and share a bit about it ever since!

The Horse Show itself is this incredible mix of elegance, energy, and tradition – and tucked inside all that excitement is the Art Hall, where artists like me get to show what we’ve been working on. It was my first time being part of it, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect… but wow, it completely blew me away.

From the minute I started setting up, I could feel the buzz. Everyone was so friendly – fellow artists chatting over coffee, the smell of fresh prints and varnish in the air, and the soft hum of people already wandering through. There was this lovely balance of calm and chaos, and somehow it all just worked.

One of the highlights for me was meeting so many people face-to-face. Whether it was a quick compliment, a curious question, or a proper chat about the story behind a piece – every interaction meant a lot. A few moments really stuck with me… like a little girl who came up with wide eyes, tugged on her mum’s arm, and pointed to one of my paintings saying, “I love that one.” (My heart!) It reminded me why I pour so much into what I do.

There was just such a great atmosphere all week – horses trotting by outside, stylish visitors floating between events, and inside our little creative bubble, a real sense of community. I felt so proud to be part of it and to have my work sit alongside so many other talented Irish artists.

I came away from the show feeling really inspired (and a little exhausted, let’s be honest!), but mostly just so grateful. If you were one of the lovely people who stopped by my stand – thank you so much. Your words, encouragement, and support meant the world.

And guess what? I’m already getting excited for this year’s show! I’ll be back at the RDS this August, and I’m currently working on a brand new collection of horse-inspired paintings especially for it. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been creating – a little mix of movement, beauty, and that unique spirit horses have that I just love capturing.

If you’d like to stay in the loop or get a sneak peek before the show, feel free to pop your name on my newsletter list. That’s where I share all the latest news, behind-the-scenes snippets, and special updates.

Here’s to another brilliant summer at the RDS – and hopefully seeing some of you there again!❤️
